 Construction of the Ida Grove Community Rec Center began with the Groundbreaking Ceremony on September 5, 2002. Construction of the building commenced in the winter of 2002, and construction of the interior began in March 2003. The facility opened its doors for the first time on December 21, 2004, and the Grand Opening Ceremony was held on June 26, 2004.
