Bogue Gift Sets Up Rec Center Endowment

The Ida Grove Community Recreation Center Endowment Fund was made possible because of a $100,000.00 cash gift from Dick Bogue of Ida Grove on October 19, 2007. The permanent endowment fund has been established for future equipment needs and facility improvements at the Ida Grove Community Recreation Center which opened its doors in December of 2003. The gift will benefit the facility for years to come. The gift protects the recreation center’s operating budget from assuming the responsibility of providing these resources on its own. Bogue feels the Ida Grove Community Recreation Center is a worthwhile cause and this gift was a way to give back to the community.

Remember Or Honor A Loved One With A Memorial Brick

Several bricks were recently engraved at the recreation center. These bricks are available to purchase at anytime. A brick is $100.00 and checks are made payable to the Ida Grove Community Recreation Center. If you are interested in purchasing a brick, there is a form to fill out at the front desk. Your brick may either contain a message, your name, or a loved one’s name. New bricks that are sold will be engraved once a year. The bricks are permanent and will last forever, so it is an excellent way to make a statement or honor a family member or loved one.

'Shoot It' Offered This Summer

Shoot It is being offered at the Ida Grove Community Recreation Center on Wednesdays from June 4th – July 2nd.  Grades 8th - 12th are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Grades are scheduled 3rd -7th from 2: 30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The cost is $99 for 5 weeks which includes a t-shirt. Apply online at www.shoot-it.com  or pick up a registration form at the recreation center. 

Exercise Classes Going on Right Now

Focused Boot Camp is being offered for 4 week, 8 sessions beginning May 5th. The class will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The class is $52.00 for members and $57.00 for non-members. Make checks payable to Focused Fitness. Total Body Workout is being offered for four week on Saturdays starting May 3rd. Class will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The class is $26.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members. If you want to join a class, but you will have to miss a night the Class Pass Punch Card is available for any of Jacque Bleil’s or Mary Tipton’s exercise classes.  The cost is $70.00 for ten punches.  The Class passes are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.  Class passes are non-refundable, non-replaceable, and non-transferable.  Contact Jacque Bleil at 369-5012 or Mary Tipton at 253-6786 for more information. 

One-Month Trial Memberships Available

The Ida Grove Community Recreation Center is now offering a one month trial membership.  The one month trial is $53.00.  Should you decide to purchase a four month, six month, or one year membership this amount will be applied towards your membership but this must be done before your month is up.  Stop in and take advantage of this offer.  This is a great opportunity to decide if a membership is right for you or your family.  Contact recreation director Matt Salvatore with any questions at 364-3716.
